As a member of the Diversity, Inclusion, and International Student Council, I aim to ensure that every student feels celebrated and welcome on campus. Saddleback's landmark rolling mountains stand as a testament to the boundless resilience within our student population. I aspire to unearth that potential by fostering forward-thinking attitudes through positivity and inclusivity.
I am eager to connect with students and become an active voice in our community. My goal is to ensure that no voices are silenced, bringing opportunities to every corner of campus. Each student's narrative is invaluable to their identity, and by uplifting one another, we grow stronger as a whole.
Every student's story is influential, and I am a relentless advocate for nurturing students to bloom.

Hello everyone! I'm Alex Rodriguez, a current officer for ASG's Publicity committee. I'm thrilled to announce my candidacy for Senator for Diversity, Inclusion, and International Students for the 2024-25 term!
A little bit about myself: I'm someone deeply fascinated by various cultures and driven by the desire to understand them better. I find that music guides and builds my passion for this, as I listen to Arabic, Persian, Spanish, Japanese, and Turkish music– to name a few! This semester, I'm studying abroad in Oxford, England, furthering my exploration of diverse cultures through travel and cultural immersion.
I believe that embracing cultural differences is vital for a higher understanding of the people around us. As Senator, I'll organize events and workshops to celebrate our campus's diversity. I'd also love to hear students' feedback to promote cultural practices that may be overlooked. Additionally, I recognize the unique challenges faced by our international students, as I plan to work towards support services for these students to aid them in academic and social success.
Together, let’s celebrate our differences and build a more inclusive campus where everyone feels valued and included. I ask for your support in making this vision a reality!
