The $10 Associated Student Body Fee (ASB Stamp) Makes A HUGE Difference!

Each semester, students have the opportunity to pay for the Optional ASB stamp when enrolling. The ASB stamp allows the Associated Student Government (ASG) to provide a variety of programs and resources for the campus community. ASG is the center of campus involvement, connection and service to enrich the campus life experience of the our student body. The Associated Students support campus clubs, create and provide funding for campus-wide activities and events, and advocate for student issues on local, statewide and national levels.

Why we need your help to keep these programs and resources going by increasing the optional fee to $17!

  • Part of the ASG budget is based on contracted services from the bookstore and dining services. Unfortunately, ASG no longer receives funding from dining services and the bookstore revenue has declined over years. We anticipate this revenue to continue to be reduced each year.

  • The activity fee has not increased in over 10 years and the cost of goods and services has increased. Schools in our region such as schools in the Coast District and  Riverside District have increased over the years and are $23+ per semester. For ASG to be able to continue funding programs, clubs, events, and scholarships, we need the increase to support these areas.

What does the stamp provide?

Your fee supports programs on campus such as but not limited to:

Scholarships: ASG is committed to scholarships for students and allocates 20% of their revenue to this each semester. Over the past 10 years, you have helped ASG donate approximately $750,000 dollars to scholarships and grants. 20% of each stamp sale goes to Foundation General Scholarships, Child Development Center Grants, and Book Scholarships.

Free Bus Pass Program: ASG feels strongly about reducing potential transportation barriers that may affect a student's ability to go to class, work, etc.. We partner with OCTA to pay a fee that provides a free bus pass to all currently enrolled Saddleback College students. Students can access the pass via an app on their smart device with no limits on the number of times they ride.
